   • I use Aczone, dapsone 7.5% gel, to treat acne on my skin. Approved use starts at age 9.
   • I know it reduces acne swelling and may help prevent new pimples. Full benefit may take up to 12 weeks.
   • I report allergies, G6PD deficiency, anemia, or methemoglobinemia, a blood problem that can lower oxygen.
   • I share all medicines, vitamins, and herbs, including oral dapsone, malaria drugs, and TMP/SMX (Bactrim or Septra).
