Beyfortus® (Nirsevimab-alip)
A one-page care plan for patients taking Beyfortus® (Nirsevimab-alip), covering Prevention & Protection, Expectations & Execution, Nutrition & Next Steps, Consistency, Indications and Lifestyle & Long-Term Success.
In this plan
Prevention & Protection
- I know Beyfortus is an RSV antibody, not a vaccine. It lowers the risk of severe RSV lung disease.
- I know a dose helps protect my child for about 5 months. It does not treat an RSV infection.
- I ask about a first-season dose before age 8 months if the mother's RSV shot in pregnancy is missing, unknown, or less than 14 days before birth.
- I know most babies do not need both if the mother's shot was at least 14 days before birth. I ask about exceptions.
